How to Create a New Device

This guide outlines the steps to create a new device in the system. Follow the instructions carefully to ensure a successful device setup.

Prerequisites

Access to the admin panel of the application.

Necessary permissions to create and manage devices.

Device details (name, color, etc.).

Slides must be created before configuring the device.

Steps

  1. Access the Admin Panel

    • Log in to the application with your admin credentials.
    • Navigate to the Devices section in the topbar menu.
  2. Create a New Device

    • Click the Add Device button.
    • Fill in the required fields:
      • Name: Enter the device name.
      • Color: Default background color when image is not filling the screen.
      • Description: Add a brief description of the device.
      • Image: Default image to display when no media content is available.
      • Status: Set the device status (active/inactive).
  3. Configure slides for the device

    • Click on the calendar tab.
    • In modal window, select the slides.
      • Start datetime: Set the start date and time for the slide.
      • End datetime: Set the end date and time for the slide.
